Does at&t have a customer retention department. Currently have 4 lines on the mobile share advantage 12 gbs but my bill is close to $300 a month. Eventually you will end up there. In fact i had to do it just yesterday, 3 times (don't ask).
What can retentions offer to provide a lower monthly costs and more bang for my buck? In september, at&t got me a free iphone 7 ($650 towards it) if i traded in my iphone 6s (or 6). Known as at&t plus, the program would offer a preferential customer support.

Turnover rate is high, hourly pay is garbage but they make it seem as you’ll make so much with commission and they cap it at $2k so when if you over sale you want get commission for it, only your manner will.
So it's mostly the same everywhere. The folks in the department are extremely friendly, and they genuinely want your business, but they simply do not have the authority to do anything differently than exactly what you. Share with the customer service representative that you want to reduce your monthly bill and are looking for any special offers that may be available for your account.
Always be extremely polite and. It is less hassle to switch then to fight with customer retention every time the promotions expire. (although, i think many of the deals require you turn in a working phone).
For customer loyalty i recommend you ask for retentions as you go down the tree. It's always worked for me. But when they answer just verify by asking are you retentions.

As it has been explained to me, the customer retention department does not have the authority to offer you anything different than what is shown on their website. Do not work in the retention department, customer loyalty group. At&t retention is responsible for reducing churn within the company.
Other companies have rates which will stay the same for as long as you have the plan. The people who is required by company policy to fight with you to their last breath to keep your $200 tv bill and get screwed over if they have to cancel. But it's the first one is free, then they have you.
You want the customer retention center because they have access to special deals and the best options. You just need to learn how to navigate down the phone tree in response to the various prompts. The people you call to cancel service.
Also did i mention i’m a long time customer of at&t all the way back to the cingular days. I have a copy of my chat transcript and have dealt with customer service, a local at&t corporate center, and two retention agents. Do not work in the retention department, customer loyalty group.
After hours on the phone and not receiving promised call backs i’m counting the days until my contract ends. They have a range of discounts and offers they can use to tempt you to stay for another year or two years.
